From the Materials & Applications site: Participants will install Sublime Environments—the re-envisioning of the original Disappearing Environments—on Thursday, January 19th from 11am to 6pm at Art Los Angeles Contemporary, produced at the Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar. This event will mark the opening of both the 11-day Pacific Standard Time Public Art Performance Festival and Art Los Angeles Contemporary, culminating in the piece’s illumination at dusk that will echo the road-flare illuminations that Chicago performed in the original Disappearing Environments.
